How Do You Use the Mushroom Cultivation Bundle?

Step 1: Choose a Compatible Gourmet Culture

Choose a gourmet mushroom liquid culture compatible with the supplied grain and CVG growing method. Liquid culture is sold separately.

Step 2: Inoculate Your Sterile Grain

Introduce your chosen culture into the sterilised Millet or Rye grain using clean, sterile technique.

Allow the mycelium to colonise the grain completely before proceeding to bulk substrate.

Step 3: Prepare Your MonoTub

Once the grain is fully colonised, combine it evenly with the supplied CVG substrate inside your clean MonoTub.

The CVG arrives prepared and ready for use, removing the need to hydrate and prepare coco coir, vermiculite and gypsum yourself.

Step 4: Allow the Bulk Substrate to Colonise

Allow the mycelium to spread from the colonised grain throughout the CVG until the bulk substrate is appropriately colonised for your chosen species.

Step 5: Introduce Fruiting Conditions

Provide the humidity, fresh-air exchange, light and temperature appropriate for the gourmet mushroom species you're cultivating.

Your Ultra Fine Mister can help maintain suitable surface conditions without heavily saturating the substrate.

How Does the Inject & Grow Bag Work With the Bundle?

If you select one of the + Inject & Grow variants, you'll receive a separate 1.5kg All-In-One Mushroom Grow Bag in addition to your complete MonoTub setup.

The Inject & Grow bag combines grain and substrate within a single sterilised bag, providing a second cultivation method alongside your MonoTub.

It should be treated as a separate grow:

1. Inoculate the Inject & Grow bag with its own compatible gourmet culture.
2. Allow the mycelium to establish and colonise.
3. Mix the bag when appropriate to distribute established mycelium.
4. Allow complete colonisation.
5. Introduce the fruiting conditions required by your chosen species.

This makes the upgraded bundles particularly useful for growers who want to experience both an all-in-one bag and a more traditional grain-to-bulk MonoTub workflow.

What Is the Difference Between the Regular and Large Mushroom Growing Bundles?

The Regular Bundle is the more compact option and includes one 1.5kg grain bag, one 2kg CVG bag, one regular 1.5kg Inject + Grow bag and our 38 × 26 × 20cm MonoTub.

The Large Bundle steps up to two grain bags, two CVG bags, one large 2kg Inject + Grow Bag and our substantially larger 58 × 38 × 28cm MonoTub.

The Large configuration therefore includes:

• 3kg total sterilised grain
• 4kg total CVG substrate
• 2kg All-In-One Inject + Grow Bag
• A significantly larger fruiting chamber
• More growing capacity than the Regular setup

How Should the Mushroom Cultivation Bundle Be Stored?

For best results, use the prepared growing media soon after delivery.

Before use:

• Keep sterilised Millet or Rye grain refrigerated if storage is required.
• Keep Inject & Grow bags refrigerated until required.
• Keep sterile CVG sealed in a cool, dry location.
• Keep the MonoTub and accessories clean and dry.
• Do not open sterile bags until you're ready to use them.
• Never freeze prepared grain or Inject & Grow bags.

Always follow any storage instructions supplied with the individual components.

Does the Bundle Include Mushroom Liquid Culture?

No. Liquid culture and spores are not included.
